Accessibility

There is no details on accessibility of the footpaths that lead to the chapel and this is the only way to access to the entrance of the chapel, there is also a step through the gate and the walkway into the chapel itself appears uneven. 

Brief description

St Chad's chapel (sometimes referred to as Old St Chads) is a Grade I listed building, and although services are held here, the only way of accessing the chapel is by walking footpaths through the fields, or in dry weather by car across a field, from the main A41 road, where the 1860's St Chad's Church, Tushingham, Whitchurch SY13 4QS is situated.

Directions

From Malpas head Northwest on the B5069 (High Street) towards Greenfields Lane, turn right to stay on the B5069/Chester Road, but then keep left to stay on the B5069.

At the roundabout take the 4th exit for the A41 follow the road for just over 3 miles and then turn right, the last junction before you arrive at destination is Bradley Farm Lane.

The main access appears to by car as this chapel is accessed via fields of the A41, although you can get to nearby Malpas by bus from Chester.

Amenities

It appears there is no facilities on site, Malpas is a nearby large village and there are public toilets on the high street car park but there is no details as to whether there are any disability toilets. There are also a number of shops and places to eat in Malpas.
