Accessibility:

There are several car parks in the area with the one at the junction with Church Street being the handiest for the church entrance as there are disability spaces here. The road down to the entrance is cobbled in a flat herringbone brick pattern, which should be suitable for wheelchairs. There is a shallow threshold into the churchyard (less than an inch) and two more relatively shallow (2") steps into the church.  Each step is widely spaced so they can be tackled separately by most wheelchairs. AVX PDA Series Loop Amplifiers are in use for the hearing impaired and a wheelchair is available.

Brief Description:

The Grade I listed church was built in the late 15th century from rubble stone with limestone dressings, but it has several later additions. These include the Gwydir Chapel in 1633–34, the early 19th century west tower, which replaced a bellcote, and the north aisle that was added during a restoration in 1884.

The church has retained its rood screen with loft and is considered to be a fine example with elaborate tracery and carvings of Instruments of the Passion and pigs eating acorns. Other interesting points include the font with a "bowl of weird organic forms", painted Royal arms dating from before 1801, 17th century fittings and fixtures in the Gwydir chapel, a 13th century stone coffin and several monuments dating from approximately 1440 to the 17th century.

The Llanrwst Bell may have been in use as early as 450 AD and has been described as a funeral bell.
