"St James’s aspires to be a place where all can belong, and where every person’s gifts and identities are welcome and celebrated. We are working on improving the accessibility of services and events at St James’s in the church building and online.
Step-free access:
There is step-free access from Piccadilly into the courtyard, and from the courtyard into the church. The main body of the church is step-free with a wide central aisle. There are spaces for wheelchairs towards the front of the church.
There is one step to enter the church from the Jermyn Street entrance. The church offices, including the church hall, reception and meeting rooms are not wheelchair accessible.
Redemption Roasters has one step from both the courtyard entrance and Jermyn Street entrance.
The Southwood garden at present has limited access via steps (without a handrail). Improvements to ensure step-free access are planned as part of The Wren Project.
Access for deaf or hard of hearing people:
There is a loop system in the church and a PA system. The sound quality is best on the ground floor area of the church. The hearing loop works best in the centre of the nave and is a bit weaker elsewhere in the church. Our sound system is old but we do our best with it and are planning improvements.
There are screens in the gallery. There are large-print orders of service available for our Sunday Eucharist and Sanctuary Eucharist on Tuesdays, and we use QR codes for orders of service to be accessed online.
There is a toilet for people with disabilities inside the church on the Jermyn Street side, which is accessible from the main church entrance."

"St James's Church, Piccadilly, also known as St James's Church, Westminster, and St James-in-the-Fields, is an Anglican church on Piccadilly in the centre of London, England. The church was designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren.
The church is built of red brick with Portland stone dressings. Its interior has galleries on three sides supported by square pillars and the nave has a barrel vault supported by Corinthian columns. The carved marble font and limewood reredos are both notable examples of the work of Grinling Gibbons. In 1902, an outside pulpit was erected on the north wall of the church. It was designed by Temple Moore and carved by Laurence Arthur Turner. It was damaged in 1940, but restored at the same time as the rest of the fabric.[1]
In September 2023, a series of murals by Che Lovelace were unveiled in the church, to mark the 250th anniversary of the baptism of abolitionist Ottobah Cugoano, which took place at St James's in 1773; it was the first permanent artwork commissioned by the church, as well as the first anywhere in the world to commemorate Cugoano.[20]
Concerts are regularly held in the church.[11] Concerts have included performances by popular contemporary musicians such as John Grant,[12] Tokio Myers,[13] Victoria Canal, R.E.M.,[14] the folk musician Laura Marling as part of her "church tour",[15] the collegiate Indian-American music group Penn Masala[16] and Devin Townsend on his 2015 UK acoustic tour.[17] "

Toilets
"St James’s partnered with Redemption Roasters in December 2022 because it’s a great fit for the church’s social justice values. The café’s purpose is to reduce reoffending rates for people who’ve been through the prison system, through its unique coffee business model. The roastery is in a prison, some of the staff in the cafes have been through the prison system, and the delicious coffee is a good way to support positive social transformation here in London and beyond.

Saturday – Sunday 9am – 6pm "
