Aldenham Church provides modern facilities for visitors attending church services, special events or private functions. There is step free access from the Lychgate via a ramp into the church and we have a further portable ramp to give access to the altar rail if needed.

Toilets – there are two toilets adjacent to the church room and accessible via the path rom the church. One of them has access for disabled people and a baby changing unit.

Lighting – with many setting for all occasions, our lighting is adaptable for different occasions.

Brief description

"St John The Baptist,  Aldenham, is a beautiful, historic, medieval church set in the heart of the picturesque village of Aldenham. Christian Worship has been offered here continually for over 750 years.

Enter the sacred space of the building and this almost feels tangible. The Church provides a variety of services, mainly in traditional forms, morning and evening – see Services page.

The Church is the perfect setting for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals which take place throughout the year. The church building is also ideal for concerts and musical practice sessions, boasting a fine Harrison organ and Bechstein piano. The building also offers step free access, WiFi, a PA system, toilets and a separate room available to hire for smaller groups.
