Brief description
"The church of St. John the Baptist was originally dedicated to God and St. Alban and is an ancient edifice of stone, in the Early English style.
There is a chancel and nave and an embattled western tower, containing 5 bells.
The Church was formerly a possession of the Abbey of St. Albans and some portions appear to date from the time of Richard II, others from that of Edward III.
The church was restored in 1880, under the direction of the late Sir G. G. Scott R.A."
