Accessibility:
Situated next to the main road, so there is a paved side walk at the front of the church. The paths from the road to the church are on a slight slope and laid to tarmac. There is a slight change in surface just before the main door, with a grate/grill into the archway before the front door and a slight step. The internal flooring if the church is stone and has a run of carpet along the aisles. There are steps to the alter area. There are toilets with disability access,  a hearing induction loop & tea making facilities.

Brief Description:
St John the Baptist church is a Grade II* listed building, founded before 1300, it was rebuilt between 1897 and 1900 and the original church was re located.

Directions:
Situated 4.5 miles SW of Cartmel via Haggs Lane, Cartmel Road, Alllithwaite Road/B5277, Holme Lane, Church Road. Then continue following the B5277 which becomes Market Street. Here you will turn right onto B5278 and the church will be found on your left hand side. OS SD 365760.

Transport:
Cark train station is located 0.4 of a mile/7 minute walk, N of the church. Bus services operate in and round the area, with bus stops located just along the road from the church.
