There is step access from the Font area to the Nave.

Several steps lead from the Nave to the Chancel and Altar.

Brief description

"St John the Evangelist Church," is a Grade II listed building dating from 1856.  It is a fine example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture by William Butterfield.

The stained-glass windows date from this period and depict 'The Resurrection.'  The windows were donated in memory of William Lorns (died 1873) by his son Richard.
