2025:

"St Kentigern's Church in Castle Sowerby dates from the 12th century, with later alterations and additions. The church was restored in 1821, and again in 1888, by C.J. Ferguson.[1] The church is in a remote location and is part of the CofE Diocese of Carlisle, and the Benefice of Caldbeck Castle Sowerby and Sebergham.[2] St Kentigern's Church is a Grade II* listed building on the National Heritage List for England."
