Brief description

"Described as “exceedingly picturesque”, St Margaret’s Church was once part of the De Vere estate. Built from East Anglian flint rubble and dressed stone, the west tower was added in the 16th century and built of Tudor brick.

The church is surrounded by its tree-lined churchyard in the fields on the north side of the village. It is situated at the end of a long track off a small road, opposite the war memorial, that leads from Clare Road towards Ashen."
