The church has its own car park at its eastern end with a level entrance through double doors to both the church and the recently added church hall. There are toilets, including disability toilets, at the church. Guide dogs are welcome.

St Martins is a medieval church with interesting interior, and 1810 almshouses known as Church Terrace immediately to the west of its tower.
