Accessibility:

Parking is limited and difficult on the roadside. There are no convenient disability parking bays. The parking spaces on the church entrance are reserved for the vicar and warden. Both the entrances on Church End are wide and lead onto flat paths to the church building. The entrance into the church is flat and within the church ramps are made available for stepped doorways. The interior floor is generally flat but uneven in some areas. There is adequate space for wheelchair use around the congregational areas. There is an accessible toilet on site.

 

 

Brief description:

A 13th century church with features spanning across the centuries and restored in the 19th century. It has some magnificent and detailed stained glass and beautiful decorative features with many historical artefacts.

Directions:

St Mary Magdalene Church in Gedney is 18 miles/28.96 kilometres north east of Peterborough. From Peterborough follow the A16 north to Spalding and turn east along the A151 ‘High Road’. At the junction turn east onto the A17 and south at the junction for Fleet Hargate. Turn immediately east onto Old Main Road and follow the road south until reaching Church End. Turn east into Church End and the church will become visible on the north side of the road.
