Brief description:

"St Mary Magdalene's Church is situated on the land that saw The Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403 and  has a rich and intersting history.  It was orginally built as a place of commemoration for those who were killed in the battle. But after its dissolution in 1548, the church underwent serious decay and what stands there today although the same structure had to have an extensive restoration during the latter half of the nineteenth century to save it from ruin."
