Brief description
"St Mary's is the parish church for the parish of Longframlington with Brinkburn. The church dates from the late twelfth century and until 1891 was a chapel of ease to Felton; since that date Longframlington has been an independent parish, sharing a priest in charge with Felton since 2006. The church was restored in the late nineteenth century retaining its fine Norman chancel arch. Because of its historic features the building in Grade 1 listed, but while we value a fine building our focus is on being the church for a 21st century parish. In 2012 a modern Community Room was added on the north side of the church, providing a space for a wide variety of church and community activities for all ages. St Mary's is not the only Anglican place of worship in the parish: Brinkburn Priory, under the care of English Heritage, is also used occasionally for services, including marriages. In recent years, (barring pandemics!) it has also been the scene of our annual Ascension Day service. See the Brinkburn page for more information"
