Parking: The Cathedral has its own car park with 1 designated disability parking bay and there is also on-street parking and drop-off areas outside the entrance to the cathedral.

The entrance to the Cathedral is via a ramp access.

The interior of the Cathedral has level access.

Hearing loop system is in operation during service times.  Wheelchairs and scooters are permitted within the interior.

There are public toilets and a disability toilet/baby changing facilities.

Assistance dogs are permitted within the Cathedral.

Brief description:

The Cathedral Church of St. Mary's (Catholic) is a Grade I listed building in the style of Gothic Revival and built between 1842-1844, its architect was Augustus Pugin. The Cathedral has Neo-Gothic wall and floor tiles, stained glass windows and a tall needle spire.

From Newcastle Central railway station, head west on Neville Street, take the right hand junction for Clayton Street West, the venue is located in this street.

Situated 2.3 miles North of Gateshead via St James Boulevard (across the River Tyne), turning left onto Sunderland Street, and left again onto Blandford Square.
