Brief description:
St Mary's Church is situated at the top of Harrow Hill and has views over London. The spire is a famous landmark that can be seen for miles around.
Consecrated by Saint Anselm in 1094, little of the original building remains. Over the centuries there have been many alterations and additions. Lord Byron is reputed to have sat and written poetry in the church yard while at Harrow school.
In 2019, St Mary's will be celebrating 925 years on this site.
