Brief description
"Tunstead has been a place where local people have worshipped before the Norman Conquest and the current church itself dates back to c. 1327. St Mary the Virgin stands slightly away and to the North-East of Market Street (the main street through Tunstead) although, paradoxically, is situated in the centre of the village boundary.
The church is still active and St. Mary’s has a dedicated community within the village who come together for worship and reflection as well as holding various events such as the Annual Flower Festival. The church continues to host weddings."
