Accessibility:

There is no on-site parking, however opposite the church is the Parkway Shopping Centre which has a free car park, including 7 disability blue badge parking bays. There is ramped access into the church. There is a public toilet which is wheelchair accessible and also included nappy-changing facilities.


Brief Description:

St Mary’s RC Cathedral was designed by Frank Swainston and built in 1985 to replace the Old St Mary’s Cathedral in Sussex Street which was built in the 19th Century and burnt down in 2000.

Open during daylight hours. Services on Monday 6.30pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.15am, Thursday 6.30pm, Friday 7.15am and 12.00noon, Saturday 9.15am, 10.00am and 6.30pm, Sunday 10.00am and 5.00pm

From Stockton-on-Tees via A19 (9.4m). Get on A66 from Bishopton Rd, A1305 and A135. Continue on A66. Take A19 and A174 to A1032 in Middlesbrough. Take the exit for B1365 from A174. Follow B1365 and Stainton Way to Dalby Way in Coulby Newham.


From Northallerton via A19 (21.2m). Get on A19 from A684. Continue on A19 to Middlesbrough. Take the exit for B1365 from A174. Follow B13645 and Stainton Way to Dalby Way in Coulby Newham.
