"St Michael's Eggington (originally spelt Egginton), is a quintessentially English village church set in a large, attractive,churchyard in the centre of the village near to the former village pub. Its origins go back perhaps a thousand years, although the present building is an amalgam of styles as it has suffered change and renewal down the ages. The nave is 14th century. The church was badly damaged by fire in the mid 19th century and then restored."
