Brief description
"A medieval church with a battlemented tower
St Michael's is best seen from the road approaching the village from the south. The striking battlemented tower dates from the thirteenth century, with a fifteenth-century upper part where the stone changes.
Inside are a series of stunning monuments to members of the Smith family: the most impressive is the three-tiered alabaster monument to Sir Roger Smith (died 1655).
Other items of interest include a medieval screen and a George III Coat of Arms."
