Accessibility:

There is no allocated parking at the church. Gravel pathway leading to the main entrance of the church. There are two stone steps down into the church through the second door. Accessible Toilets available on site. Ramped entrance. Tiled flooring within.


Brief Description:

Built between 1200 and 1340, St Nicholas has a Norman nave and its chancel is approximated to date from around 1270.

Directions:

Situated 7.1 miles N of Bishops Stortford. Head N on the B1004, the road will fork at Mountbatten Indian restaurant. Take the left onto Hazel End Road. Continue following this road which then becomes Carters Hill and The Street and Manuden Road. Follow the white sign posts (on the left) for The Pelhams onto Berden Road, which take you into the village. Turn left onto The Street and then second right onto Church Drive, where the church will be on your left hand side.
