Accessibility:

Car parking is available next to the entrance to the church yard, but care should be taken not to obstruct the public house next door. There is further parking across the lane next to the recreation ground. Entrance is via a wrought iron gate and there is level, tarmacked access around the churchyard.

The interior is laid to tiles and parquet flooring with a small step up to the chancel area.

Brief Description:

The Grade II listed St Nicholas's Church is largely 19th century and sits on a site that was likely medieval in origin. It retains a 13th century tower, but the timber belfry is of later construction with a clock introduced in 1887 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria.

The church was rededicated from St Mary to St Nicholas in 1881 at a time when major refurbishment and some rebuilding was being carried out.

In 1915, St Nicholas' parishioners voted overwhelmingly to remain in the Church of England despite the church itself being slightly over the border in Wales.
