Brief Description:

The site of the Grade II listed Medieval church of St Padarn at Llanbadarn has seen several iterations throughout it's existence, albeit somewhat shrouded in mystery - from its likely 6th century origins under its namesake through to the Benedictine priory, 'clas' church, royal rectory, church controlled by Chester’s Vale Royal Abbey, and, since 1538, a parish church.

The original 6th century buildings have long since been replaced, with the current church built of rubblestone and renovated extensively over the centuries. The church offers some impressive stained glass as well as housing some pre-Christian standing stones from the site.

The large two-acre churchyard has two main entrances with impressive lychgates.
