Brief description

St Peter's Church is an Anglican parish church and Grade I listed building in the village of Alstonefield. The church is home to what is believed to be the oldest legible gravestone in the country. The gravestone is dated 11 April 1518.

From Buxton, head north-east on The Crescent. Turn left to stay on The Crescent. Turn left onto Terrace Road/The Quadrant/A515. Continue to follow The Quadrant/A515. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on The Quadrant/A515. Continue to follow the A515 for 15.0 miles. Turn right onto Oxclose Lane. Turn right onto The Pinch. Slight right onto Lode Lane. Turn left towards Church Street. Turn left towards Church Street. Continue onto Church Street. The church will be on the right. OS SK 132553
