Brief description

"St Peter's Church is a Roman Catholic Parish Church in Stonyhurst. It is the parish church for Hurst Green, Lancashire and a chapel for Stonyhurst College. It was built from 1832 to 1835 and designed by Joseph John Scoles in the Gothic Revival style. It was founded by the Society of Jesus and has been served by Jesuit priests since. It is a Grade I listed building."

"For St Peter's turn up the hill at the cenotaph in the centre of Hurst Green. Follow the road through the village past the Bayley Arms on your right. Carry straight on until the road bears sharp right at the statue of Our Lady. If the College gates are closed tell security thru the comms box that you are visiting the church then keep straight on between the college ponds then turn right and the church is on your left. Park past the tree."
