Brief Description:
St Peter's Metro Station on the Tyne and Wear Metro is the nearest one to the University of Sunderland's St Peter's Campus. The station was built for the Sunderland extension in 2002. It is located at the northern approach viaducts of the Monkwearmouth Railway Bridge and a short distance south of Monkwearmouth Station Museum. St Peters is closer to the Stadium of Light than The Stadium of Light station.

Directions:
Situated 3.3 miles SE of East Boldon. Head E on A184, and at roundabout take 2nd exit onto Newcastle Road/A1018. At main intersection turn right onto Southwick Road/A1290. At roundabout take 1st exit onto Stadium Way and turn right onto Millenium Way. Take 1st left onto Hay Street. At end of road turn left onto Sheepfolds N and take 1st right onto Sheepfolds Road. Station will be on your left hand side.
If coming from the South (Thornhill)(1.4 miles) Head N on A1231, and at roundabout take 2nd exit onto Livingstone Road/A183. Keep left to continue towards Wearmouth Bridge/A1018. Continue over bridge, and take the first left onto Sheepfolds N. Turn left onto Sheepfolds Road and the station will be on your left hand side. OS NZ394576
