Accessibility:

There is a car park at the gardens, although there are no specified disability spaces. The car park is close to the entrance to the tearooms, where there are toilet facilities, including a disability toilet. The whole site is generally disability-friendly, with ramps where needed into buildings.

Brief Description:

The Stackpole walled gardens is owned by the National Trust as part of the Stackpole estate, but it is managed and maintained by the trustees of Pembrokeshire Mencap Ltd with the work being carried out by Pembrokeshire adults with learning difficulties. The plants, fruit and vegetables from the gardens are sold in the shop on site and used, where available, in the products sold at the cafe on site.

The garden, which is open to the public, has been producing food for the estate for two and half centuries.

Directions:

From Pembroke follow Well Hill/A4139 and turn left onto St Daniel's Hill/B4319 where you see the sign to Bostherston and Stackpole. After approximately four miles you will see a sign for Stackpole Walled Gardens on the left. Follow the track until you see the sign for the car park.
