STEAM is fully accessible – with lifts and ramps giving wheelchair and pushchair access throughout the museum. Disabled toilet facilities are also available.
We are pleased to provide the following facilities and services:

- Free admission to essential carers accompanying a paying disabled visitor. Please choose the carer option when you pre-book your visit online so we know you are bringing a companion. One carer will be admitted free of charge.

- Subtitled video and large print information panels throughout STEAM
- Low-level counters at the Ticket Desk, Shop and Café

The nearby car park has free parking in designated blue badge parking areas. Carers of visitors have free entry to the museum. Automatic entrance doors open across flat ground. All counters of the ticket desk, shop and café are low level access. Inside the building is a disability access toilet with alarm cord and a an adult changing room.

Directions:
Entering Swindon from all directions, join the B4006 travelling east or west. At the roundabout of the B4006 and B4289 take the exit south onto the B4289 ‘Kemble Drive’. Continue along Kemble Drive across the next roundabout and turn south into Fire Fly Avenue. At the junction continue west along Fire Fly Avenue and the museum will be visible on the south side of the road.
