Brief description

Styal is a village in Cheshire, very close to Manchester Airport. The village is home to Quarry Bank Mill, one of the most well-preserved textile factories of the Industrial Revolution.

Directions

From Manchester, head south on Brown Street towards Chancery Lane. Turn left onto Booth Street, then turn left onto Fountain Street. Continue onto High Street, then turn right onto Church Street. Continue onto Dale Street, then turn right onto Paton Street. Turn left onto Piccadilly/A6 and continue to follow the A6 for 0.4 miles. Turn right, then merge onto A57(M)/A635(M). Take the A5103 exit towards Petersfield. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A5103. Turn left onto Princess Road/A5103 and continue to follow the A5103 for 4.5 miles. Continue straight onto Princess Parkway/A5103. Continue straight onto the M56 (signs for Chester/Warrington/M'cr Airport/Wythenshawe/Birmingham/M6). At junction 5, exit towards Manchester Airport. Continue onto Airport Spur/A555. Merge onto Ringway Road W/A555 via the slip road to Wythenshawe/Wilmslow/Gatley/B5166/Business Park. Continue to follow the A555, then turn right onto Styal Road/B5166. Continue to follow B5166, then turn right onto Altrincham Road. OS SJ 815830.
