Accessibility

There are four spaces at the front of the Museum and five at the back (free). At the side of the museum (just outside the rear car park), there are two to three disability spaces (free). The nearest car park is the City Gates NCP car park, northwest of the museum, on York Street (11 disability spaces). East Burrows Road car park is also nearby (5 disability spaces). There are steps at the front of the Museum but there is flat access from rear and side of the building and all levels and galleries can be accessed via the lift. There is a Disability Toilet.

Brief description

Swansea Museum, the oldest museum in Wales, showcases Swansea's history. There is also an exhibit of an Egyptian Mummy.

Directions

If travelling from outside Swansea, exit the M4 at junction 42 and follow the brown tourist signs for the Museum. The Museum is located on Victoria Road, just off Oystermouth Road (A4067).  OS SS 659927.

Opening Times

Open Tuesday – Sunday.
Closed Mondays except Bank Holiday Mondays.

10.00am – 4.30pm (last admission 4.15pm).
