Accessibility:

There is free parking at the centre with some blue badge spaces near to the entrance. The centre is as wheelchair accessible as possible, with automated doors and lifts in place. Although the windmill has stairs - which makes the tour a no-go area for wheelchairs - there is a 'Feet on the ground guided windmill tour'. The toilets are fully accessible and the theatre is fitted with a hearing loop. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Brief Description:

The Green Britain Centre focuses on renewable forms of energy, new forms of transport and sustainable food. It uses hands-on displays allowing access for people of all ages and abilities. You can also take a guided tour and climb to the top of a modern windmill.

Opening Hours:

Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm (closed Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays)

Saturday and Sunday (1 July to 31 August) 10am - 4pm

Windmill tours begin at 11am, 1pm and 3pm

Entry to the centre is free.

Swaffham is 15 miles south east of King’s Lynn along the A47. The Green Britain Centre is signposted from the A47. OS TF 816098

Amenities:

The centre has its own cafe serving hot and cold meals and drinks, which are sourced as locally as possible. There is also a shop for gifts and souvenirs.
