"Turning off Church Street into a narrow medieval alleyway, one does not expect to find the Old Baptist Chapel. This enigmatic building, standing in the shadow of the Abbey, conceals a rich history of domestic and religious use.The newly renovated Old Baptist Chapel is ideally set up for group visits. Located just a hundred yards from Tewkesbury Abbey, nearby parking and with new facilities including a loo, plenty of seating and a kitchen, the chapel is a great base from which to explore historic Tewkesbury."

"THE OLD BAPTIST CHAPEL OPENING TIMES

Summer opening: 1 April to 31 October: Tuesdays & Saturdays plus bank holidays, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm (last entry at 4.30pm)

Weds – Fri: If we have staff available we will happily open the Chapel for you, please ring before you visit

Winter opening: Most Saturdays plus bank holidays, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm (last entry at 4.30pm). If you are travelling a distance to see the chapel, we would recommend giving us a call before hand to confirm the opening times 01684 297174. Thank you.

Exceptions to opening times: The chapel is a wonderful venue and community space as well as a building of historic value. We hold a number of events and activities in the chapel which means we occasionally have to close to the public. Please check with us before you leave.

Group Visits:

Groups are welcome to visit at any time, Tuesday to Saturday, all year round. Pre-booking is required.

There are special terms available for group visits including tours / talks.

Tea and coffee can be provided at an additional but reasonable cost."
