PARKING
There are two small laybys on the main road which are suitable for about a dozen cars. At busy times these may be full so please park carefully, remembering the road is often busy with through traffic and HGV's. Do not leave valuable items visible in your vehicle, stow them in your boot so they can't be seen.
Parking: There is limited parking in the lay-by on Rollright Road. The stones are linked to a network of public rights of way and permissive paths if you'd like to make your visit part of a longer walk.
On foot
The Rollright Stones are linked into a network of public rights of way and permissive paths. The D’Arcy Dalton Way links Salford, Little Rollright and Great Rollright passing just south of the Whispering Knights and is linked to the Stones by a permissive path. The Shakespeare’s Way passes through Little Rollright and a detour to the Stones is possible from where it crosses the road past the Stones or via the Darcy Dalton Way.
There is limited parking space at the Stones. Please do NOT park there as the base for a longer walk.
By bicycle
The Rollright Stones are not on a recognised part of the Sustrans national cycle route network, but they are easily reached from parts of the network via unclassified roads (see http://www.sustrans.org.uk/map?key=Midlands&type=RG#429948,231028,2). There are a few routes posted on the internet. "

"The Stones are normally open to the public daily all the year round including being available to night-time stargazers. (Extremely rarely the site is closed for a ticketed event or some overriding public interest/safety risk).
ENTRY FEES
2023: "The entry charge is £1 for adults and 50p for children aged 7-16. The Rollright Trust receives no public funding and this is our main source of income to look after the site.
You can pay your admission fee online in advance; OR by logging into this facility via a QR code on site; OR (in daylight hours) by cash using the honesty box at the entrance to the stone circle; OR by paying the warden if on duty (some busy weekends). "
Transport
"By bus
No bus routes pass by the Stones. Stagecoach Warwickshire (no. 50) runs between Stratford Upon Avon and Chipping Norton and the driver may be willing to stop at the crossroads at the top of Long Compton Hill, half a mile east of the Stones. If not, the nearest stop from which to walk is Long Compton. There are also local taxi services.
By rail
The nearest railway stations are Kingham (c. 7.9km or 4.9 miles as the crow flies) and Moreton-in-Marsh (c. 9.5km or 5.8 miles). Oxford, Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon are the nearest mainline interchanges and are relatively convenient to link to Stagecoach buses."
