Disability Toilet. "The Mary Rose is fully wheelchair accessible, and a buggy service is usually available between the dockyard entrance and the museum, but see Brief description below. "The Mary Rose Museum is located 500m (550 yds.) from the entrance to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

If you are visiting the Mary Rose and unable to walk up the site, we can come and pick you up from the entrance gate in our buggy, provided by Motorculture Ltd, with a grant from the Boshier-Hinton Foundation.

The buggy runs most days*. If you would like to use this service, please enquire when you arrive at our Visitor Centre. Booking in advance is not necessary.

* Buggy Service is currently suspended due to concerns over the wellbeing of our visitors during this current COVID-19 period.

Brief description

"The Mary Rose is located within Portsmouth Historic Dockyard"  Our photographs show the various Dockyard attractions before you reach the Mary Rose Museum.

"Prior to your visit to the museum you will need to pass through the the main dockyard gates. If you have not purchased tickets online, this is where you will purchase your tickets for the new Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Experience. The Museum is located at the far end of the dockyard, about 400 metres from the entrance. A golf buggy* can be made available if required: more information can be found on our accessibility page. * The Golf Buggy Service is currently suspended to comply with safety measures brought into place due to COVID-19 Due to security regulations within Portsmouth Naval Base, we are required to conduct 100% bag searches upon entry to the dockyard.
