Parking: There are on-street disability areas located in High Street West for Blue Badge holders. There is a car park approximately 250m away located in Bridges Car park, Green Terrace.
Minster: The entrance to the Minster has a slight uneven step into the interior. There are double doors which are Push-button operated. Level access within the interior, with some areas being served by ramp access. However, the upper galleries are accessible by stairs only.
Toilets: There are standard toilets and Disability/Baby Changing facilities available.
Cafe and Minster Shop: Level access to both areas and located near the south entrance.
Hearing Loop Induction system operates during services and events.
Braille and large print documents are available.

Brief description:
The Minster* Church of St Michael and All Angels and St Benedict Biscop, stands on the site of worship for over a thousand years when a church was established in 940AD. The church was completely rebuilt in the 20th Century and was re-dedicated as a Minster in 1998 following the granting of Sunderland's city status. (* Minster = A minster is a church that was established in the Anglo-Saxon times as a church attached to a monastery or a missionary teaching school).
