Museum garden cafe

The museum café will be serving sandwiches and light lunches and offering our usual delicious cakes, scones, and other treats. At the moment we aren’t able to provide indoor service, but there’s plenty of seating outside from which you can enjoy the garden.

Reception and museum gift shop

The shop has new stock, including an excellent range of gifts and greetings cards. For the present, we are only able to take card payments. Although your cash is still welcome in our donation boxes!

Museum garden

The museum’s attractively landscaped gardens are the ideal location for morning coffee, a light lunch or afternoon tea on the terrace, or for just relaxing with children and friends.

There is always something to delight from our carpet of early spring bulbs around the ancient chestnut tree in February to our annual summer exhibition of sculpture by local artists. The garden is a fabulous setting for wedding photographs please contact us for more information."
