Accessibility:

2 disabled parking bays 80 metres from main entrance. Level access to main automatic doors into the centre via ramped walkway avoiding 3 steps. Access to disabled parking bays and drop off area is via the slip road from the Newport Castle roundabout. You will need to communicate by intercom in order to raise a barrier on to the site.

No public car parking on site but car parks in the Friars Walk shopping centre opposite and others within 250 meter walking distance.

A lift serves all levels of the building.

Performance areas. The ground floor studio is immediately on the right and depending on seating layout seats can be removed on the lower level to accommodate wheelchairs. A small wheelchair lift to access the upper level is available via level 2 but large power wheelchairs and most scooters will not be able to use it.

The main theatre has spaces for wheelchairs on level 1 and level 2.

Accessible toilets are on the ground floor and level 2.

Ramped entrance from Kataisi river bank walkway via automatic sliding doors into the main foyer. Key emergency exit signs are illuminated in emergency situations. Loop system in performance areas.

The Riverfront Arts Centre is located on the banks of the River Usk, opposite the main bus station and Friars Walk shopping centre. Situated in central Newport, with 2 performance theatres, Art Gallery, dance studio, music studio, conference facilities, licensed café with terrace and level 2 bar. The Centre opened in 2004.
