Accessibility

When exploring the museum, there is wheelchair access to all areas of the museum with lift access to HMS Alliance into the after and end compartment with views through the submarine. Guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs are welcome in all of our galleries, however they are not allowed on HMS Alliance at busy times due to the confined nature of the submarine.

Hearing loops are installed at main reception, inside the shop, lecture space and cinema. All toilets are at ground floor level. There are three disabled toilets on the site. Wheelchairs are available in the main reception area, please contact a member of staff for use.

By road: M27 to junction 11. Follow A32 to Gosport and brown tourist signs to Royal Navy Submarine Museum.

Transport

By rail: "Mainline route London to Portsmouth Harbour. Take the frequent ferry service across to Gosport (3mins). From the Ferry at Gosport, turn left and follow the coastal walk passed the marina and over the bridge. Turn left into the submarine museum to parking.

By water: Get onboard our waterbus service from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and arrive in style."
