Accessibility:
Tintern Abbey has car parking directly in front of the ruin laid to gravel. There is uneven ground surfaces, visitors are advised to use the handrails available. Some steps on site. Service dogs allowed only. Toilets available, although one block has a flight of stairs containing approximately 6 or 7 steps. There is however a disability toilet on site also. The café is open during the day 10am-4.15pm with seating available outside. There is a signposted trailed walk to the walled gardens if you choose to take it instead of driving, this does have a set route on laid pathways. Colclough walled gardens does have wheelchair access and toilets available.
Brief Description:
Tintern Abbey is a Cistercian abbey located on the Hook Paninsular. Today the abbey is in ruins, however some has been restored. Colclough Walled Garden is a restored walled garden set just along from Tintern Abbey.

Both are situated 4.5 miles from Wellingtonbridge via R733 and L4041. Colclough Walled Garden -  OS SL 701716. Tintern Abbey – OS SL 698708.

Opening Times:
Colclough Walled Garden - 10am to 6pm – May to September. 10am-4pm – October to April. Last admission 30 minutes before closing.
Admission: Adult €3.00. €2.00 reduced rate, annual tickets available.
Tintern Abbey – 2nd April to 28th October, open daily 10am-5pm. Last admission 4.15pm.
Admission fees: Adult €4.00. Group/senior €3.00. Child/std €2.00. Family €10.00.
Visitors with disabilities and their companions admitted free of charge.

There is no bus service that runs to this destination. Best travelled to by car.
