Accessibility:
The museum has one disabled access space on its front drive. This needs to be booked prior to visiting. On the opposite side of the road is pay and display parking with no blue badge spaces. There is a bus stop directly outside the museum. Disability toilets are available on both floors of the building. An induction loop is available for visitors attending lectures.
Brief Description:
The museum was first started by the Torquay natural History Society in 1844 and has moved several times before being located on Babbacombe Road. The foundation stone was laid in 1874 by Reverend Stebbing and designed in a Venetian, Gothic style by architect William Harvey. Supported by donations from society members and the visiting public, the museum collections have become extensive.

Directions:
Travelling south on the Torquay Road onto the Riviera Way, follow the road through the centre of Torquay onto Newton Road and Avenue Road. At the Kings Drive on the east side of the rugby and crickets fields, turn east onto to A379 Torbay Road. Follow the coast road onto Torwood Street and Babbacombe Road of the A379. The museum is facing the road on the north side.
