Accessibility:

The RSBP Reserve prides itself in making wetlands and wildlife accessible to everyone. 

There are 2 designated disability parking spaces on-site, free parking, 8 bike loops (caters for 16 bikes) and parking facilities for large coaches.

Trained Guide dogs are all welcome on site and there is also a hearing loop enabled. The paths all around the site are level access and there is a manual wheelchair available to loan.

There are disability toilets on site and many of the events and activities cater for everyone - 

  • The boat safari allows a maximum of 2 manual wheelchair-users per trip.
  • The on-site water play area is accessible for wheelchairs users and offers boardwalks & gravel. 

The site will offer a 15% discount to anyone who arrives on site via public transport or a bicycle. Reduced prices are as follows - 

Adult: £10.03
Child: £4.78

Concession: £7.33

Martin Mere is a wildlife reserve built solely for the purpose of restoring wildlife in the UK and is a small part of the biggest wildlife conservation charity in Europe - The RSPB (The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds). Directions:

11.6 miles West from Southport via the A565, B524 and then turn off at Wiggins Lane. 

Signposted on the M61 from Junction 8, on the M58 from junction 3 & on the M6 from junction 27.
