Accessibility:

The Tower of London aims to be as accessible as possible but wheelchair access is limited, for comprehensive access guide to all areas of The Tower see:
https://www.hrp.org.uk/tower-of-london/visit/accessibility/#gs.Z5k5S4I

The only way to access the Armoury collection in the iconic White Tower is by a steep external staircase on its southern side.

There is no parking on site,  there is limited parking nearby see:
https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/services/transport-and-streets/parking/Pages/tower-hill-car-park.aspx

There is a multi-storey car park adjacent to the West of the Tower of London site; it has disability parking spaces, but it is fee-charging for all users.

There is no Shopmobility motorised scooter hire in central London. All of the latest-built taxes and buses must have disability accessible.  The one exception to this is the No.15 London heritage route which runs with the iconic old AEC Routemaster double-decker bus (built between the 1950s and 1960s) which has a rear open entrance to enable passengers to get on and off quickly.

Brief Description:

One of the Historic Royal Palaces, historically a Castle, Fortress and Prison. The Tower was founded by William the Conqueror in 1078, starting with the White Tower, many additional towers were later added  An interesting timeline can be found here: http://www.ancientfortresses.org/tower-of-london-timeline.htm

From its riverside location, many well-known London sites can be seen, from Tower Bridge, to the new London County Hall and HMS Belfast, and there is a river bus service which stops at the jetty by the Tower.

A rewarding free attraction is All Hallows-by-the-Tower church, just north-west of the Tower; please see this website's venue entry for it.
