Brief Description:

Tumble is an ex-mining community in the heart of the Gwendraeth Valley. It was home to the anthracite miners who were employed at the nearby Dynant Fach and Great Mountain collieries.

Tumble is located on the B4310 in Carmarthenshire, just south-west of Cross Hands. From Cross Hands take the A476/Bethania Road south-west. At the junction in Upper Tumble turn right onto the B4310 and Tumble is the next village. Situated 1.9 miles from Crosshands via Llandeilo Road – Heol Bryngwilli – Bethania Road and High Steet. OS SN539120
