Details
Accessibility:
There are places by the roadside to park at certain entrances to the woodland. The trails through the woodland can be rough in places and are not recommended for wheelchairs or those unsteady on their feet.
Brief Description:
The woodland of Tynybedw contains mixed varieties of conifer and broadleaf trees; the oldest Douglas Fir trees were planted in 1934. The trails run parallel to several fast-flowing streams which eventually flow into the Afon Ystwyth. Recent years have seen some of the trees harvested for timber to help improve the scenic and conservation value of the area, which has opened up beautiful views over the Ystwyth Valley.
