Brief description

The Upminster Tythe Barn was built in the middle of the 15th century, part of the estate of Upminster Hall that supported the Abbey of Waltham.

The Barn was refurbished in 1976 and opened as an agricultural museum. It contains around 14,500 nostalgic domestic and agricultural artefacts.

Upminster is a town in the London Borough of Havering, it is about 17 miles(27 km) east of Central London and 3 miles(5km) from Junction 29 of the M25.
Tithe barn is situated between Upminster playing fields and the Upminster Golf club on Hall Lane, just north of Upminster town. OS TQ  564 877.
