Accessibility:

There is very little parking around the outside of the park and what is available is tightly time restricted (half an hour) or permit holders only. There is a multi-storey car park a short distance away to the north.

On the Orchard Street edge of the park is the Neath bus station, which offers flat, level access into the park at both ends.

Neath railway station is also within a five-minute walk.

There are toilets within the grounds with disability facilities and plenty of park benches. 

Brief Description:

Victoria Gardens, a Grade II listed urban park in the centre of Neath, was opened for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee on 22 June 1897 and officially re-opened as Victoria Gardens on 30 June 1898. It retains most of its original layout and features, including the bandstand, bronze statue of Howell Gwyn, Gorsedd stones and inclined flower beds.

Directions:

From J43 of the M4: Head north-east on the A465 for 1.5 miles. Take the A474 exit towards Neath/Castell-nedd/Pontardawe and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A474. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto Eastland Rd/B4434. After around 300 metres Victoria Gardens will be on your left.
