Accessibility:

The viewpoint is easily accessable by car from the B3196. The car park has plenty of space although no designated disability parking bays. The entrance has a 2.29 yard/2.1 metre height restriction barrier. There are no toilets at the location.

Brief Description:

A small parking area with an excellent view of Devonshire countryside leads, through a kissing gate, to Blackdown Rings, earthworks of a prehistoric hillfort and medieval motte and bailey castle.

Directions:

From Ivybridge or Exeter on the A38 Devon Expressway take the exit for the A3121 south and merge onto the B3196. Continue south until reaching the crossroads sign posted for ‘Hazelwood and Gara Bridge’ and take the turn east towards Hazelwood. Take the next turn south and the viewing point will become visible on the east side of the lane. Or from the south, 2 miles north of Loddiswell via the B3196.
