[visitor-centre] Titanic's Dock and Pump-House Visitor Centre, Belfast
Details
Accessibility:
The dock and pump-house are situated on the NI Science Park site which has 500 car parking spaces. Parking costs £1.50 for the first hour, then £1 for each hour thereafter. A minimum spend at the Pump-House Cafe will entitle you to free parking – ask the server to validate your ticket.
Guide Dogs are welcome on this site.
The Dock has a single entrance, with ramp access. From the entrance, the Pump-House Cafe is accessible across a level surface. The cafe is split across two floors. The mezzanine floor and toilets are accessible via a lift.
While the Cafe has been built to allow full-access for most wheelchairs, the Pump-House has limited access as the pump-well balcony is very narrow. However, the pumps can still be viewed from the dry dock’s walkway. This concrete walkway is uneven in places, and must be accessed over an area of cobbles and gravel. It is not possible to access the floor of Titanic’s Dock using a wheelchair or scooter.
There is a policy of free admission for anyone using a wheelchair or scooter, and their carer(s).
