Brief Description:

In 1874 the Powysland Club, a local history society, established the Powysland Museum in Welshpool; it was the first purpose built museum in Wales. The collections within the museum depict the archaeology and social history of the old county of Montgomeryshire.

Opening Hours:

June – August. Weekdays: 10.30am-1pm & 2pm-5pm. Saturday: 10.30am-3pm. Sunday: Closed.

September – May. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11am-1pm & 2pm-5pm. Saturday: 11am-2pm. Wednesday and Sunday: Closed.
