Accessibility

One Blue Badge parking space outside the museum. On-road Pay and Display parking in Rivercourt Road just off the A4.

Step free entrance to the Coach House, but uneven cobbled surface in front of the entrance.
Two steps at the rear of the Coach House, a wheelchair ramp is available on request.
Access to the rest of the museum is via a flight of 6 steps.

For visitors who are unable to access the upper floor, there is a film about William Morris’s life, work and his time at Kelmscott House showing in the Coach House, which includes footage of the rest of the museum.

Brief description

Kelmscott House itself is privately owned and not open to the public.
William Morris lived at Kelmscott House from 1878 until his death in 1896. The Museum Society museum, founded in 1955, is in the Coach House and basement.

Thursday, Saturday and Sunday:                               2pm to 5pm

Other times by arrangement. The Coach House may be closed when they hold events.
