The Main Street and immediate roads off this are accessible, however many interesting buildings are situated on hills and banks. Public Toilets are situated on East Bank, just up from The Bowling Green pub, including an accessible toilet (using a Radar key).

Brief description:

Winster is a pretty village nestling in the peaks and dales of the White Peak District. A typical Derbyshire 18th/19th Century mining village with an interesting history. The annual Secret Gardens event in July allows the visitor to explore hidden buildings up and down the Banks.

From the A6 (between Matlock and Rowsley) at Hackney turn left onto the B5057 towards Winster.

From the A6 (between Bakewell and Rowsley) turn right onto the B5056 and follow directions towards Winster

Car parks are situated on the B5057 on the left just before the school as you enter Winster and also the South Car Park on the B5056 at the top of East Bank/West Bank junction.
